Okami reminds me of my firstborn child, this is the first video game he really got into. Whenever I hear anything from Primus’ Sailing the Seas of Cheese I think of playing Super MarioKart in my room with my buddy Tom. And these have captured my imagination and passion, and acted as a backdrop for my life. It’s easy for me to read something like that and think “Wow, that’s sad. ‘I look back and think of all the media I’ve consumed!’ “īut each of these was created by people with a story to tell, whether through song, written word, game mechanisms, or 1′s and 0′s. These things can act as mile markers throughout my 42 years. With anything more than a couple of years old, each game (or song, book, or movie) brings back that time in my life. During the periods where I have been less into them, it’s usually been because of other games - D&D, Magic the Gathering, or board games. Playing games has been a lifelong hobby of mine.
